Double the root- include the 3rd & 5th
Exceptions:
1. In minor key, movement from V to VI, double the 3rd of VI.
2. OK to triple the root in 3 part (last chord if tonic)
3. OK to triple the root in four part (must include the third)

No Crossed Voices
Rule #3
No more than an octave between Soprano and Alto, or Alto and Tenor.

Raise 3rd in V chord (minor key)
Rule #5
Root movement of a P4 or P5:
a) Hold common tone in same voice, move other voices by step.
b) Move 2 upper voices by a 3rd, one by 2nd.
Rule #6
Root movement of a 3rd:
Hold two common tones, move other by a 2nd.
Rule #7
Root movement of a 2nd:
Move upper voices contrary to the bass.
