Five parametric parts of compressor
Threshold, Ratio, Attack, Release, Output Gain
Define the term Compression Threshold?
The level at which compression activates.
Define the term Compression Ratio
The ratio of the change in input level to to the change in output level Ratios are expressed as 2;1 3;1 4;1 etc
Define the term Compression Attack
The speed at which gain reduction is applied when input level exceeds the threshold
Define the term Compression Release
The speed at which gain is restored to its original value when level drops below the threshold
Define the term Compression Output Gain
The amout of gain applied to the signal post compression.
What are 5 Parameters of a Gate
Threshold, Range (depth), Attack, Hold, Release
What dose the Range(or depth) control do on a gate?
Sets the amount of gain reduction when the gate is fully closed
Define Gate Attack?
Sets how long it takes for the gate to open once level has exceeded the threshold.
Define Gate Hold
Sets the amount of time the gate in open position.
Define Gate Release (or Decay)
Sets the amount of time it take the gate to close once level drop blow the threshold and the hold time has expired.
Define the term “RT60”
The amount of time it takes for a signal to decay by 60dB
Define the term “Per-Delay” as it relates to Reverb
The amount of time it takes for the first reflation to arrive at the listeners position
